2018 Annual Report

"For everyone who invested their lives in Crossroads this year: God used your prayers, your faithfulness, your generosity, your time, talents and spiritual gifts to change lives, strengthen His church, and further His Kingdom!"
          - Pastor Lowell

Crossroads Family,
This report represents only a measurable fraction of all the lives that have been blessed by God through the people and ministries of Crossroads this past year. Only God truly knows how every life was impacted, and the affect that that’s had on our world, but we hope this report gives you a glimpse of some of the amazing things that God has been up to at Crossroads.

As you read this report remember a few things:
1) Every number represents a person. Every person has a story. And every person and story matters to God—and because they matter to God, they matter to us.
2) For everyone who invested their lives in Crossroads this year: God used your prayers, your faithfulness, your generosity, your time, talents and spiritual gifts to change lives, strengthen His church, and further His Kingdom!

Because of you—great things happened:
•People came to Christ!
•People grew in their faith!
•The hungry were fed!
•People found hope, encouragement, provision, and help!
•Lives and families were restored!
•Missionaries were sent out and supported around the country and around the world!
•People found forgiveness, were set free, and were healed!

We hope and pray that this report gives glory to our awesome God, encourages all of you who invested your life to make a difference, inspires all of us to trust God for even greater things this coming year, and makes us realize that we are part of something truly special at this church called Crossroads.

Grateful and excited,
Pastor Lowell

WE DON'T DO CHURCH, WE DO FAMILY

CROSSROADS KIDS

Every child matters to God.

"During my experience in Children’s church I've learned a lot about God and how to trust him. I got the opportunity to go to Camp Winshape last summer where I learned God is my Shephard. Then we had our church VBS.  I learned that we can choose to give our lives to Jesus because he gave his for us. If we do believe in Jesus , when you die you can go to heaven and live with him. So on that night I gave my life to Jesus. Then,  I took the New Believers class. One night we learned about Baptism and what it is and how it is done. Me and my Mom talked about if I wanted to get baptized and I came down to me wanting to do it. The day of my baptism was a great day I felt made new and different but  a good different. From now on I am a Christian."

"When I decided to volunteer with Sunday’s Children Service, I had some concerns, because I felt I would miss out on getting MY service time in. But several weeks into it, I realized, I wasn’t missing out at all. Every week we all worship, have a lesson, bible verse &  craft (based on that lesson). So, although the Service is meant for the children, I too, feel blessed and educated every single time!"

SEE WHAT PARENTS ARE SAYING:

"My husband and I have attended Crossroads for nearly 20 years, long before kids were in the picture! We've since had two girls. We have seen this ministry transform over the years into something fun, life-giving, and safe! FUN...The staff provide an uplifting and energetic worship, followed by a relevant, Christ-centered message! LIFE-GIVING...Crossroads Kids Ministry truly cares about each child that walks through their doors! They show compassion and encourage them. They also share the amazing message of salvation through Jesus!

SAFE...Crossroads uses a check-in process via Safe Sanctuary. It requires all kids have a tag with a certain code associated; parents are required to show that code at pick-up.
Thanks, Crossroads Kids for your hard work to make worship fun, life-giving and safe!!"

- Ashley Dionne, Church member

"We are a family that has been attending Crossroads Church for almost 6 years.  We have two boys; they are currently 7 and 10 years old.  We love our family at Crossroads Church and the children’s ministry has walked along side us through the journey of raising our kids to help us enforce and build a strong biblical foundation into the hearts of our boys.  Parenting can be challenging and it has been very comforting knowing that we are not alone and that we have a village at Crossroads Church that has been there for my boys throughout their childhood.
In 2018 the children’s ministry announced they were doing a New Believers Class and we jumped on the opportunity.  This class was a game changer for both my boys.  The class was a small group setting with two encouraging and loving adults that facilitated wonderful discussion and taught biblical principals to the children.  My boys would continually ask me throughout the week what day of the week it was, because they could not wait for Wednesday night class.  My children were challenged to start a prayer journal and to read their bibles; they were taught how to pray and to really look at what it means to be a Christian.  My children would come home eager to write in their journals, to discuss what they talked about and it gave them a confidence I had not seen in them before.  My youngest son Bradley had a desire to be baptized, but has struggled allot throughout his life with anxiety and fear.  This class was perfect, they discussed baptism in length and took the children to the baptismal and showed them what it was and explained the process.  He was so comfortable after this class, that not only did he get baptized, but also when I asked him if he needed his Mommy or Daddy with him, he said no “ I got this!”   I know this new found confidence is because of what he was taught and because of his encouraged relationship with Jesus Christ.
Thanks to this ministry both my boys have been baptized and have given their life to Christ.  We are so very thankful for the staff and the volunteers in the Children’s Ministry; they are God loving and led individuals that have created an atmosphere and a ministry that are truly transforming the lives of our children. “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.”  3 John 1:4"
